About ChatSend

ChatSend is an app built to give people one friendly place to stay connected. Inside a single app, you can message friends and family, create group chats, send voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share photos and videos through MOODS.

ChatSend is made by ChatSend LLC, a company registered in Michigan, USA, founded in December 2020. The app is live on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and is already used by multiple people across Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, the United States, the Philippines, and the Caribbean — people who found it, use it, and keep coming back to it.

And we are building more. Money sending between friends and family — in the same app, in the middle of the same conversation — is in development and will launch when the licensing required to offer it is in place (see Coming Soon, below).

Meet the founder

Dalton Latham is the founder of ChatSend. He built ChatSend on a simple belief: families and friends who live far apart should still be able to talk, share moments, and support each other — all in one app. A passionate, enthusiastic founder who enjoys healthy conversation and sport, Dalton has a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of the people he encounters on life’s journey, and he is leading ChatSend from a community of users in six countries and regions toward licensed money services that will connect them even more closely.

Coming soon: send money where the conversation already happens

The people you message and call on ChatSend are often the same people you support — parents, children, brothers, sisters, friends. So we are building money sending into ChatSend itself: person-to-person transfers, at home and across borders, right inside the app you already use to talk to them.

Money sending is not available yet. Offering it responsibly means being licensed to do it, and that work is under way — ChatSend LLC has applied for mobile money licensing in Uganda, our planned first market, and has submitted the required paperwork. We will switch money sending on market by market, only where and when we are licensed to offer it, and we will announce it here and in the app when it is live.

Until then, ChatSend is for what it does today — talking, calling, and sharing moments — and nobody from ChatSend will ever ask you to send money through another service in our name.
